  • Le Wagon DEMO DAY is back!

Only 9 weeks ago, aspiring developers and entrepreneurs began their journey with Le Wagon Chengdu. Their mission was to learn the fundamentals of product-focused programming so they could empower their careers, build their startups, and turn ideas into real technology. During these intensive weeks, they’ve accomplished their mission and on Saturday, December 16th they are launching their first web applications – WeChat mini-programs they developed from scratch.

If you’ve ever wondered about picking up life-changing skills, or wanted to learn the ‘secrets’ of technologycome see what previously non-technical students can accomplish after just 9-weeks of training. These teams have developed two products from novel ideas. Check them out below!

    JINMA

    “Save money while getting social”

Budgeting can be boring and tedious, but for many people this is a reality they face every month. Typing in each expenditure in their app, or managing their expenses between WeChat and Alipay. What if there were a more fun way to save? Jinma thinks budgeting and saving can be more social! Whether you’re saving for an upcoming trip, or budgeting for your Single’s Day spending, Jinma can help you out!

-“What do you want to eat for dinner?”

    -“You pick…”

    -“No, you pick…”

This conversation is all too familiar for a lot of us – deciding where to eat with friends, your boyfriend or girlfriend or even by yourself can be frustrating and time consuming! Perhaps you want to try a new place, but are overwhelmed by the options on DianPing…or maybe you just don’t know where to get started. If you’ve ever felt his way, 摇吃嘛 (Yao Chi Ma) translated literally as “Shake Well to Eat” is building a simple solution to your problem! Hopefully your hands are ready to shake!

On Saturday, December 16, we invite all our friends to meet these newly minted coders and watch a showcase of the apps they developed in teams. You’ll also get to hear from some experienced entrepreneur guest speakers as they share their wisdom and insights into technology in Chengdu.
